A state-wide programme of road construction, rehabilitation, spot intervention and culvert repair.
The challenge
Deteriorated carriageways, failed sections and collapsed culverts raised travel times and vehicle costs and cut communities off during the rainy season.
The intervention
Construction and rehabilitation of township and intercity roads, targeted spot interventions on failed sections, and reconstruction of failed culverts across the state.
The impact
Improved travel conditions along treated corridors in Osogbo, Ile-Ife, Ede, Ikirun, Ilesa, Iwo, Ikire, Iresi, Ibokun and other communities.
